(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); the Indian government has once again taken major action on companies associated with China. India has banned 47 more Chinese apps in China. Earlier, 59 apps from China have been banned. Recently Banned apps include mostly cloning apps. These apps have been accused of data theft of users. India initiated action against Chinese apps following a clash in the Galvan Valley.
The government of India has already banned 59 apps including TikTok. Now the government targeted 275 Chinese apps. It also includes PUBG. The Ministry of Home Affairs has not yet commented on this. However, an official source related to the case said that China’s apps are under constant review and it is also trying to find out where they are getting funding from. According to the official, some apps have been found to threaten national security, while some apps are violating data sharing and privacy rules.
