(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): The airline said in a statement that a passenger who wants to check-in at the airport counters in Indigo from Saturday will have to pay a service fee of Rs 100. The airline company IndiGo has made it clear that it will charge a service fee of Rs 100 from passengers wishing to check-in at the airport counters. The company has already issued orders to implement it with immediate effect.
“IndiGo has decided to levy a service charge of Rs 100 from the check-ins at the airports, which will be effective from 17 October 2020,” the statement said. The statement further said that we encourage travelers to do web check-in using our website and mobile app as per government guidelines. A service fee of Rs 100 will be charged from 17 October 2020 for checking in at the airport.
