Desserts have always been an integral part of Indian Cuisine, But which mother or wife thinks of making sweets at home? Well now is the time to indulge your family’s sweet tooth with Instant Rabdi.
Milk thickened with fresh bread crumbs will give you an instant rabdi. It just takes 10 minutes to prepare and 7 minutes to cook. The measurements given here will serve four.
Ingredients: 2 cups milk, 1/2 cup fresh bread crumbs, 1/4 cup condensed milk, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cardamom(elaichi) powder, and 1/2 teaspoon mixed in 1 tablespoon milk.
Method:
- combine the milk, bread crumbs, condensed milk, sugar and cardamom powder in a deep microwave-safe bowl and microwave on high for 5 minutes stirring once in between after every 2 minutes.
- Add cornflour paste and microwave on high for 2 minutes stirring once in between
- Now, cool and serve chilled
Handy Tips:
- Fresh bread crumbs are made bt crumbling the fresh bread slices after discarding the crusts.
- Fill the microwave-safe bowl to only 1/4 its height, leaving enough space for the milk to rise in the microwave, without spilling over.
