However, despite this the license holders are not able to give up the temptation of the third weapon. Despite constant warnings from the administration, more than 700 people have not yet submitted their third licensed weapon.
Following the directive issued by the central government, the administration granted permission to cancel more than two licensee arms by December 13 and deposit them at the Malkhana or police station or arms shops. In the Arms section, only 250 out of 1100 people have surrendered additional weapons after completing the process of cancellation of the license for the third weapon.
Arms Section and City Magistrate in-charge SP Singh said that after 13, no one can hold more than two arms on a single license except for the players associated with shooting. Direct action will begin on the third weapon of those who do not surrender additional weapons in the fixed time. The accused will be booked after seizing the illegal weapon.
