Jafar created ‘love pretense’ in the name of marriage, girl reached the police station

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Amroha: The government is strict on the rising incidents of love jihad in Uttar Pradesh, but there are some such incidents – where there is neither love nor marriage properly. Only the promise of marriage and prolonged exploitation in the name of that promise. A similar story has come to light in the Gajraula police station of Amroha. A girl came here complaining about her boyfriend. The girl is Hindu and she says that her Muslim boyfriend had been living with her for the last 2 years and continued to exploit her physically and mentally in the name of marriage.

The girl reached the police station when a suicide video released on her behalf reached the police. In the video, the girl is saying that Jafar had been talking to her about the court marriage for two years. Although he used to change the date of marriage every day. When the girl insisted on the marriage, she came to know that the accused Jaffer is in a relationship with another Hindu girl. In the video, the girl also threatened to commit suicide. In such a situation, the police went out to find him. Due to the lack of address of the girl, the police kept searching for her.

Eventually, the girl herself reached the police station and she told the whole story to the police. After which the police have registered a case against the accused Jafar and his 5 associates under relevant sections.
During this time the girl also told that the accused Jafar is associated with the Samajwadi Party and he has also promised to marry her and contest elections. Jaffer is currently with another girl. The victim girl says that the accused lives with her.

Additional Superintendent of Police of Amroha District Ajay Pratap Singh released the official statement. In which he told that the girl had filed a case against the accused youth on 17 March 2020. In this, the charge sheet against the accused has also been sent to the court and further proceedings are going on. Now, in this case, District Superintendent of Police Dr. Vipin Tada says that in the case of the video being viral, the police has started proceedings by registering a case against the victim’s report.
