Not as a competitor – he coincidentally lived where the administration was building its offices. So they paid him to move out. Takada utilized that cash to go on a short outing, winding up in Paris.
Furthermore, he remained there for an incredible remainder, getting one of the primary Asian architects in the high style scene. Takada passed away on October 4 from COVID-19 complexities. He was 81. NPR’s Andrew Limbong has this appreciation.
