HCL Tech is the latest in this line. HCL Tech CEO C .Vijay Kumar said the pay hike would be implemented in stages for employees at various levels. It also said it would hire 9,000 freshers. HCL, which announced better results in the July-September quarter, said it would hire 9,000 people over the next six months. HCL also announced an interim dividend of Rs 4 per share to its shareholders. Attrition (employee emigration) was 12.2 percent. Last year, it raised wages by 6 percent for staff in India and 2.5 percent for staff abroad. On the other hand, HCL Technologies jumped past ITC to 10th position in market capitalization last month. HCL has 1,53,085 employees.
