In the midst of the Indo-China tension, PM Modi’s sudden arrival at the border is working to heighten the enthusiasm of the soldiers. The soldiers standing on the border have said that they are ready to die for the country, as they have done before. The enthusiasm of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) jawans has also increased a lot after PM Modi’s visit to Ladakh.
ITBP chief SS Deswal said that the morale of the jawans standing on the border is very high and the army is ready to lay down its life for the country. Meanwhile, the military standoff with China continues in Ladakh. The Director-General (DG) of ITBP said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Ladakh and his address to the troops in Nimoo have boosted the morale of all the troops deployed along the border.
PM Modi, who arrived on a sudden visit to Ladakh, had met the injured soldiers in the violent clash with China and boosted their morale. During this, PM Modi while addressing the soldiers said that the indomitable courage shown by the valiant sons of the country in the Galvan Valley is the culmination of the might.
The PM said that your courage is even higher than the height where you are stationed. Your determination is even stricter than the valley you measure daily with your steps. Your arms are as strong as the rocks that surround you. Your will is unwavering like mountains.
The DG of ITBP said that the national leadership, political leadership, army, and jawans are all dedicated to the nation. Deswal told reporters that border security and the morale of all the forces, be it the Indian Army, Air Force, or ITBP, is very high. Deswal said that the soldiers on the border have sacrificed their lives in the way of duty in the past and they are ready to dedicate their lives to the nation in the future also.
ITBP personnel are posted on LAC
The Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) is entrusted with the security of the 3,488-km-long Line of Actual Control (LAC) with China, mainly in the eastern part of the country. The jawans of both the armies are stationed here. ITBAPI personnel is also stationed here along with the army to counter the Chinese army during the ongoing standoff in the Galvan Valley region of eastern Ladakh and elsewhere. The ITBP has inducted around 30 new companies (about 3,000 personnel) at various locations along the LAC in view of the deadlock with China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).
