In this, the top 19 bodies of UP have been awarded at the national level for their good performance. This time the ranking of all cities has improved. Where Kanpur was at 65th number in the year 2019, this time has come at number 25. UP is the highest award-winning state in the country in the Swakchh Survekshan 2020.
Two of the top 12 awards have been received by UP. The awards were given on Thursday through a virtual program. Among cities with a population of more than 10 lakh, Lucknow is ranked 12th, Agra 16th, Ghaziabad 19th, Prayagraj 20th, Kanpur 25th, Varanasi 27th, and Meerut 42nd. In the year 2019, Varanasi was ranked 29th, Ghajiyabad 36th, Kanpur 65th, Agra 102nd, and Lucknow 115th. This time Ayodhya was ranked 97 number in cities with one to one million population.
