KGMU’s lab will be upgraded along the lines of Pune, corona emphasizes research

Lucknow: The BSL-Three Lab of King George Medical University (KGMU) will now be developed on the lines of National Institute of Virology (NIV) Pune. For this, the government decided to install a new machine Cobas. This will be the second machine in the country in a government institution. The corona is examined in the BSL-Three Lab of the Department of Microbiology.

Four PCR machines are installed here. 600 to 800 samples are being tested daily on these. At the same time, funds have been sanctioned for Cobas 6800 machines. 10 crore 86 lakh, 29 thousand, 173 rupees machine is still installed in NIV properties. 1200 samples can be tested daily on this machine. In two-three weeks this machine will start running in the lab.

Five lakhs for research on corona

A research committee was formed at KGMU on Saturday. It approved grants of up to five lakh rupees for research-related projects on Corona. It will also carry out research in collaboration with CDRI, IITR, NBRI.

KGMU will be able to do SR ship only for three years

Senior Resident (SR) Ship will be of three years at KGMU. Now no one can be expanded to serve. Orders have been issued regarding this. The recruitment of junior doctors at KGMU has been mired in controversy. Apart from bypassing the reservation rules, the paper leak case was also overshadowed.

Saharanpur could not be sent due to non-reporting

14 people of Tablighi Jamaat who were quarantined in Balrampur Hospital could not be sent to Saharanpur on Saturday. CMS Dr. RK Gupta told that all these were to be sent to their home district for home quarantine, but they could not be sent as their second inquiry report was not forthcoming.
