On June 22, the hijackers called the family over the Gujini flyover with the money to release the abducted lab technician Sanjeet Yadav.
When the family reached the flyover with the money raised by selling houses and ornaments, the police also followed them to catch the kidnappers. The kidnappers overtake the police plan. They stood under the flyover. Calling family members and paid the amount down. Before the police reached them, they escaped with the money. The relatives have made a request to the SSP. Barra, a resident of Barra have a Paan shop, son Sanjit went missing on 22 June with a bike. The victim’s family gave information about the incident at Barra police station, but the police could not find him. The family was constantly protesting to force the police to act quickly.
Three days after the incident, miscreants on the father’s mobile phone called for a ransom of Rs 30 lakh by Monday to release the son. Chaman informed the police about this. Even after this, the police were not alerted. The police prepared a plan to recover Chaman and nab the miscreants and asked him to arrange Rs 30 lakh. The kidnappers make the police to roam around for three hours
At around five o’clock on Monday evening, Chaman Yadav got out on a bike with money in a bag given by the police. Chaman’s nephew Harish Kumar said that he and his maternal uncle’s friends were keeping a close watch on Chaman from another bike. About 20 steps from the maternal uncle’s bike, two policemen in plain uniform, and Barra police station in-charge Ranjit Rai started chasing them in their private car.
The miscreants first called the maternal uncle at Unnao Achalganj intersection. On arriving here, the miscreants called him back to the Ramadevi crossroads. After waiting for a while, the miscreants called at the Naubasta intersection and made them wait for about an hour. After this, the miscreant called and called him on Gujaini Highway.
On reaching the highway at around eight o’clock in the night, the miscreant called and asked him to throw the bag on the railway track passing below. He threw the bag down as the police gestured.
