(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Hyderabad: Electric vehicle maker Kinetic Green is all set to invest heavily in Andhra Pradesh. For setting up a battery swapping unit along with electric golf carts, Plans to invest Rs 1,750 crore. 

This was revealed by the company’s founder and CEO Sulajja Firodia Motwani during the unveiling of the Electric Cargo 3 Wheeler Safar Jumbo on Tuesday. We are considering setting up a unit in the SEZ for the ‘Golf Cart’ project. 

We are also planning to set up the infrastructure required for the swapping (replacement) of electric tricycle batteries irrespective of the brand along with the unit in SEZ, ”she said.

He explained that he was waiting for the government’s response. Kinetic Group has already agreed with Tonino Lamborghini to design and manufacture premium segment golf carts and other electric off-road vehicles in India. 

‘Despite being one of the largest three-wheeler markets in the country, there is currently no large market for e-rickshaws in Andhra Pradesh. High-speed three-wheelers are the most preferred. In this context, the availability of battery swapping facilities is likely to increase the demand for electric vehicles, ”said Sulajja.

Electric cargo into the market 

Hyderabad, Business Bureau: Kinetic Green Energy and Power Solutions, an electric vehicle maker, has launched a completely domestically made cargo three-wheeler model in the Indian market under the name Safar Jumbo. The company has designed this vehicle in the wake of the growing demand in the e-commerce sector. Can carry a weight of 500 kg. Top speed 55 km / h. 

Its lithium-ion battery can travel up to 120 km on a single charge. Features include Steel Body, Digital Cluster, Kinetic Connect App, GPS, Independent Rear Suspension, Hydraulic Brakes. Customers can get a subsidy under Fame-3. There is a three-year warranty.

Different variants too 

Sulajja Firodia Motwani, Founder, and CEO of MNetic Green Energy told the media online on Tuesday that the company plans to deliver over 5,000 Safar jumbo units in the next 6-7 months. 

Diesel cargo costs Rs 3 per kilometer for a three-wheeler, while Safar Jumbo costs only 50 paise. It has been revealed that several new models will be designed to be used for the distribution of gas cylinders and waste collection. 

She recalled that the company’s subsidiary, Kinetic, provides e-cargo vehicles on a mobility lease basis.
