(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Kolkata had the lowest number of sexual assaults on women among the 19 metros in the country. This has been revealed by the data of the National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB). No cases of attempted rape or sexual harassment were reported in this metropolis. According to a recently released report by the bureau, 14 cases of sexual assault were registered in the city in 2019. According to the report, no case of sexual harassment has been reported in Coimbatore in Tamil Nadu like in Kolkata.
