There is a reason behind celebrating every day, similarly, there is a solid reason behind celebrating World Vegetarian Day. Every year on November 1, the celebration of vegetarian life in the world is celebrated as World Vegetarian Day. The word Vegetarian is also called Vegan. To save the environment, awareness is spread on this day. Along with increasing the interest of people to eat vegetarian is also the main purpose of celebrating this day. Know, the history of World Vegetarian Day and the reason for celebrating –

The UK Vegan Society first celebrated World Vegan Day i.e. World Vegan Day on 1 November 1994. The Vegan Society was formed in 1944. On the 50th anniversary of Vegetarian Day, the President of the Vegan Society announced to celebrate Vegan Day every year to make it memorable and to promote a vegetarian diet among the people. There is another reason behind this that Vegans were not allowed to consume dairy products at that time, they protested and stopped the consumption of eggs in protest, and then in 1951, it became a vegetarian movement. Since then, every year on November 1, Vegetarian Day is celebrated all over the world as a campaign and awareness.

Being vegetarian means saving the environment and making people aware of it. The specialty of vegetarian life attracts attention to the prevention of diseases and the protection of the environment. Being non-vegetarian can cause many diseases. Whereas vegetarian diseases can also cure serious diseases like cancer. Your heart stays healthy due to being vegetarian. If you have heart disease then vegetarian food may be effective for you. Cholesterol can be controlled in the body by taking regular fruits and vegetables. Eating vegetarian food can help with type 2 diabetes.

Vegetables, fruits, and grains are consumed in vegetarian food. This can help reduce the insulin produced in the body. If you are a vegetarian then you will not have trouble managing your VAT. If you have gained weight due to any reason, then you can control your weight by adopting a vegetarian diet. Along with stomach diseases, vegetarian food can be beneficial for indigestion. Vegetarian food is much easier to digest than non-vegetarian food. A vegetarian diet can help reduce high blood pressure.
