(Milcah Anila, Intern Journalist) Islamabad: Taliban leader Mullah Akhtar Mansour, who was killed in a US drone strike, has taken out an insurance policy in Pakistan, media reports said. Mullah, who took out insurance with a fake identity, also paid a premium of Rs 3 lakh. Mullah was killed in a US airstrike in May 2016.
The insurance case came to light during a trial in a terror funding case in a Pakistani court. The trial revealed that Mullah and his followers were involved in the purchase and sale of assets with false credentials and terror funding. According to News, the Taliban leader took out insurance during this period and after his death, the insurance company handed over a check of Rs 3 lakh to investigators.
