Light on a sustainable future

(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) New Delhi: Foreign minister S Jaishankar compared terrorism to an epidemic during a lecture at the 19th Darbari Seth Memorial. In his address, the foreign minister said, ‘Terrorism is cancer that affects everyone like an epidemic.’ After this, in his address to the UN Secretary-general Antonio Guterres, India was mentioned as a ‘global force’ in the fight against climate change. Pointing to Pakistan the foreign minister said, ‘ those foreigners who are placed in the list of terrorist production and experts are also trying to identify themselves as a victim of terrorism.’ He said that the international system would have to take the necessary steps to prevent the process of supporting terrorism.

It is associated with Terry, a ‘Think Tank’ associated with an issue related to sustainable development and climate. Terri started it in 2002 in memory of Darbari Seth, the founder of the institute. This time the lecture is titled, ” Rise of renewal: light on a sustainable future’.
