(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) New Delhi : So far, people of Delhi-NCR, enjoying the warm sunshine, may now have to chill in the cold. The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has predicted that there may be light rain in Delhi and its surrounding cities in the next 2 days. This can reduce the temperature in these places, due to which people will feel more cold. According to the Meteorological Department (IMD), fresh snowfall has occurred in Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand due to western disturbances.
This disturbance is moving from west to east. Due to this, light rain may occur in Delhi, UP, Haryana, Punjab in the next two days. According to the meteorological department, after passing the Western Disturbance, icy northwest winds will move from the snow-covered Himalayas. Due to which the temperature in the lower plains will also drop sharply.

According to IMD, Delhi-NCR currently has a minimum temperature of 11 degrees Celsius and maximum 29 degree Celsius. But due to light rain, the minimum temperature can reach eight degrees Celsius on Monday. Which will increase chill at night. At the same time, the day temperature will also decrease and the cold will increase. Air quality in Delhi is currently in the ‘very poor’ category. Delhi’s air quality index (AQI) 304 was recorded at 10 am on Thursday. On Wednesday, AQI 358 was recorded. In the next two days, light rain and strong wind will improve air quality and can provide relief from pollution.
