Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): The state government is considering extending the lockdown till August 15, in view of the increasing number of corona infections in Bihar. However, after the meeting of the crisis management group, the home department will formally issue an order to this effect. Before this, Chief Secretary Deepak Kumar and General of Police (DGP) Gupteshwar Pandey will conduct a video conferencing review with DM and SSP-SP of all districts.
Actually, the number of corona infected is still expected to increase continuously in the districts. There is hardly any district in the 38 districts of Bihar where coronas are not getting infected every day. Out of these, four to five hundred infected are found daily in Patna district.
Corona infection is increasing rapidly in the state. The report released by the Health Department on Tuesday for the last two days has once again found 2480 positive, in the last 24 hours, 16275 samples were tested, of which 15.23 percent reported positive. On Tuesday, the Health Department has confirmed 14 more deaths due to infection. So far 280 people have died due to this pandemic.
