(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) The use of masks to prevent the spread of coronavirus and those who do not follow social distance have less intellectual capacity. Recent research by the University of California has revealed this. Researchers found that how a person decides to wear a mask and follow social distance depends on the information stored in his or her working memory.

This part of his brain shows the intellectual capacity of a person. The team of researchers surveyed 850 Americans and found that those with better intellectual abilities, intelligence, followed the government’s suggestions in the primary stage of the spread of coronavirus better. The findings suggest that policymakers must try to promote directive compliance behavior based on general organizational capabilities. Participants who had greater intellectual capacity and working ability were more conscious of the advantages of complying with the directive.
