Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lucknow: The fire broke out at around 10.30 pm on Sunday night in the slum near Sabzi Mandi, located in Terhi Pulia, Vikasnagar. Seeing smoke and strong flames coming out of the huts, people started making noise. Somehow the people inside ran out. Six fire engines controlled the fire in an hour. Three huts were burnt in the accident and three people, including two girls, were burnt in hospital.
According to Inspector in-charge Vikasnagar Manoj Kumar Singh, the people living in the slum located at Terhi Pulia were sleeping on Sunday night. Meanwhile, suddenly seeing smoke and flames coming out of Vishwanath’s hut, people started making noise. The fire also engulfed the dulla and duggu’s hut in the neighborhood.
Strong flames and smoke erupted from the settlement. People came out making noise. After this, he tried to extinguish by throwing water. Police drove people away from the accident site. After this, with the help of fire personnel, the fire started to be controlled.
Inspector-in-charge Manoj Singh said fire brigade were called from Indiranagar, Hazratganj fire station. 6 fire engines controlled the fire in an hour and a half. During the stampede, some people were engulfed in flames which had a lot of difficulty in getting them out. Police and fire personnel took out the people.
Three people, including 12-year-old Mithilesh, 4-year-old Jyoti, were burnt in the accident. The police admitted everyone to the hospital. According to police, due to the fire, all the household items of the families living in the three huts have been burnt to ashes. What causes the fire? Information about this is being obtained.
