(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): Mahindra Thar: Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the new Thar SUV in the Indian market. The starting price of this powerful SUV has been fixed at Rs 9.80 lakh. Please tell, the company of this car has removed the base variant AX Std, AX petrol variants. That is, with the removal of the base variant, now the starting price of the new Mahindra Thar has become ex-showroom (Delhi) at Rs 11.90 lakh.
What is the reason: The variants that the company removed were all present with basic steel wheels, side-facing four-seater configuration, manual transmission, and soft-top roof. At the same time, the entry-level trim of this SUV is now X (O). There is no official confirmation from the company to remove the variants from the website yet. But it is expected that due to frequent bookings for Thar, the company has decided to discontinue its base variant from the line-up.
