Debalina Mandal (Intern Journalist) Kanpur: A man from Kanpur was arrested allegedly for strangling his wife after they had sex. The horror took place on Saturday, at the Hamirpur District of Kanpur but came to light on Sunday. The accused lured his wife into the field to have sex and strangled her with Dupatta. The man allegedly threw her phone in the river and hid the body in a field.
The news came to light after the women’s family members approached the cops and filed a complaint. The woman was identified as Kanchan and the accused was identified as Amit Lal. Both of them got married three years ago and had a two-year-old son.
The couple had constant fights and with in-laws. The woman was constantly tortured for dowry. As the result, she was harassed. She then went to live with her parents. Later the women shifted on January 4.
