Notice has been issued by preparing a list for burning and house tax recovery from big defaulters. At the same time, the list of dues on government departments has been prepared. The municipality owes lakhs of rupees to all the departments including DGM BSNL, Executive Engineer Irrigation Department. By writing a letter on behalf of the municipality, the officials concerned have been asked to deposit the dues soon. Notice has been issued to about 70 shopkeepers who owed more than Rs 20,000 in the city. These shops are preparing for lockout in case of non-payment of dues.
At the same time, about 60 shopkeepers with more than 50 thousand dues have not deposited the funds even after the notice is issued.
