(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist) : Kolkata, 24 July (Eastern) The Eastern and South-Eastern Railways have canceled certain special trains operating from Howrah and arriving here on 25 July as the West Bengal government announced a complete shutdown in the state. An Eastern Railway official said that 02023 Howrah-Patna and 02024 Patna-Howrah special trains will be canceled on Saturday. An official of the South Eastern Railway said that 02074 Bhubaneswar-Howrah and 02073 Howrah-Bhubaneswar special trains were canceled on 25 July.
The SER said that the 02021 Howrah-Barbil Superfast Special train and the 02022 Barbil-Howrah Superfast train have also been canceled on July 25 and July 29. To control the coronavirus infection, the state government has announced a complete shutdown this week on July 23 and July 25 and next week on July 29.
