(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: Let’s make Masala Cottage Cheese Poha.

Ingredients :

Poha – 200 gram, Oil – 1 tablespoon, Paneer – 170 gram, Mustard Seeds – 1 teaspoon, Cumin – 1- teaspoon, Chopped green chili – 1 teaspoon, Curry leaves – 6 to 7, Cashew – 1 tablespoon, Onion – 55 gram, Salt – according to taste, Turmeric – 1/4 teaspoon, Sugar -1 teaspoon, Lemon essence – 2 teaspoon, coriander – 1 teaspoon, Water.

Masala Paneer Poha

Method :

  • Put 200 grams of poha in a bowl and wash with water and keep aside.
  • Heat 1 tablespoon of oil in a pan, add 170 grams of cottage cheese and mix well.
  • Cook the Paneer on medium for 8 to 10 minutes until it turns golden brown and keeps it aside.
  • Now heat 20ml oil in a pan, add 1 teaspoon mustard seeds, 1 tsp cumin seeds, 1 teaspoon green chilies, 6 to 7 curry leaves, 1 teaspoon cashews and cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
  • Then add 55 grams of onion and fry till golden brown.
  • Add 1 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon turmeric, and stir well.
  • Now add washed poha and mix well and cook for 5 to 7 minutes.
  • Add one teaspoon of sugar, 2 teaspoons of lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of coriander, and cook for 3 to 5 minutes on medium heat.
  • Then take it out and garnish with coriander and serve it.
