(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: The first metro will run in Kanpur in February 2022. Accordingly, UPMRC has started preparations. Managing Director Kumar Keshav, who arrived here on Monday, told the officials, the trial of the metro between IIT to Motijheel in November 2021 is to be done under any circumstances. The Managing Director of UPMRC saw the progress of construction in the first corridor between IIT to Motijheel in the first phase.
The engineers were asked to complete the Constructions of all the stations of the corridor by October 2021. After laying the elevated track, the train track should be called and checked. We have only 13 months to run the first train from IIT to motijhil. The trial is scheduled in November. After its success, the government will decide when to launch the metro. We have to keep our complete preparation. According to UPMRC sources, in every case in February 2022, signs of running trains are being given by the government.
