(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): Microsoft on Wednesday said that it will team with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) to teach digital skills to more than one lakh women in India over the next 10 months. The company said that more than 70 hours of course material will be made available free of cost under this alliance, which includes topics like digital literacy, employment promotion, nano entrepreneurship, and communication skills.

Microsoft has earlier partnered with NSDC to provide digital skills to one lakh youth in the country and the latest announcement is an extension of this initiative. The company said that the new initiative will focus on increasing the participation of qualified women in the workforce of rural communities. There will be a live training session under this program.

This program has been designed keeping in mind those who have lost jobs in the Corona era. Along with this, the information will also be given about the modus operandi of change in the office after a corona. This training will be done through the Microsoft Community Training Platform (MCT). Those taking training will also get access to the content on the MCT platform. Job training will be given under this program, especially in the IT sector.
