Akshi Kamboj (intern journalist) In a horrifying case which came from a covid-care center in south Delhi’s Maidan Garhi where a minor girl, who tested positive for covid-19 was sexually assaulted by 2 fellow patients has shaken the people and sent a doubt of the safety of people even in a highly protected and sensitive place like this.
The incident took place on the night of July 15th, wherein the 15-year old victim was assaulted illegally by a 19-year old inside a bathroom at the centre while another 19-year old filmed the incident on his phone. the centre is being managed by Indo-Tibetan Border Police(ITBP) who registered the complaint. Both the accused have been arrested and sent to judicial custody but will remain in institutional care until they recover.
