During this, Modi said that India’s future in the energy sector is going to be very bright and secure. India is rapidly working on it. Energy consumption in India will double in the coming years. He said that no one can ignore the Indian market.
Through the India Energy Forum video conferencing, Prime Minister Modi interacted with the CEOs of the world’s leading oil and gas companies. Modi said that India is the third-largest and fastest-growing aviation market in terms of domestic aviation. Prime Minister Modi during his address called upon investors from all over the world to invest in clean energy. He said that India has emerged as the best option in the world for investment in clean energy.
He said that India’s energy plans are aimed at ensuring energy justice. That too while fully following our global commitments for sustainable goals. Modi further said that big oil companies around the world need to brainstorm on the energy sector. India is always ready to cooperate with this. The Prime Minister said that there are plans to build an Energy Corridor.
Prime Minister Modi said that India is the third-largest country, where the highest energy consumption is done domestically. India is an important country in the global oil and gas sector. Crude oil is the third-largest consumer. With the intention of becoming an active participant in India’s global oil and gas value chain, NITI Aayog first organized a roundtable meeting of CEOs of global oil and gas companies in 2016.
