Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): Lucknow: IAS officers, who have been fighting day and night in the war against Corona for the past nine months, are preparing to celebrate Christmas and New Year. More than a dozen IAS officers have applied for LTC (Leave Travel Conservation), Earned Leave (EL), and permission to travel abroad.
Action will be taken through the appointment department from the level of Chief Secretary. The Corona epidemic began in March. Since then, senior IAS officers to field officers have been engaged day and night in the management of epidemic prevention from day tonight.
In earlier years many officers used to go on vacation in the summer of June. He could not go on vacation this summer due to the Covid-epidemic protocol. Here, relieving the lightening of the second wave of Covid-19, the officers have started applying for the holidays.
These applications are being made on various dates from December to January. According to information received from various departments, five promoter IAS officers have sent leave applications. In this, two officers of the special secretary level have asked permission to go to Kerala and one to Dubai. Two other special secretaries have applied for earned leave.
Apart from these, the female IAS headed by two Directorates has also increased the leave application. An IAS couple would like to go on vacation together. Four Additional Chief Secretaries, one Principal Secretary, and one Commissioner level officer want to visit LTC.
A senior IAS officer said that the Chief Secretary has the right to approve the leave and nominate a replacement in place of the vacationing officers. The Appointment Department will send the leave application to the Chief Secretary. The Chief Secretary will take a decision in this regard. Many applicant officials admitted that their holidays had been approved.
