(Aditya Shaw, Intern Journalist): The number of people recovering from the disease rose to more than one lakh in West Bengal after 3,082 patients recovered from covid-19 disease on Friday. This information is given in the bulletin issued by the state health department. It said that the rate of patients recovering has gone up to 76.89 percent and so far a total of 1,01,871 people have been cured of the disease.
The total number of infected people increased to 1,32,364 with 3,245 new cases of covid-19, according to the bulletin. This number of new cases is the highest level on any one day. The bulletin states that the death toll rose to 2,689 with 55 patients dying in the last 24 hours. The state currently has 27,804 people infected with the virus.
