Rishitha Jaladi(Intern Journalist): Ram Gopal Varma, South Indian Film director, is not new to controversy. On father’s day(June 21), He announced his next new film “Murder” which is based on a real incident that took place in Telangana’s Miryalaguda. Now the director has found himself in legal trouble even before the film got released. In 2018, Pranay was hacked to death in September for marrying Amrutha, an upper-caste woman from the Vysya community. According to the police, Amrutha’s father Maruthi Rao, and Uncle Shravan Kumar plotted the murder through a contract killing. This Honour killing case was a real atrocity.

Now, Pranay’s father Balaswamy opposed the film Murder, and approached Nalgonga court and filed a petition against the Film Director. Responding to the petition, The Nalgonda special SC/ST court has ordered the police to file a case against Ram Gopal Varma.
