Debalina Mandal (Intern Journalist) Myanmar: Myanmar’s Military Leaders warn the media as they are not happy with the choice of the word “coup”. After the state of emergency, some media has used wrong words such as coup and referring military to regime or junta.
The statement was made by the Ministry of Information to the Myanmar Press Council. Usage of inappropriate words can be “acts of instigation that may arouse civil unrest”.
On the other hand, people all over Myanmar went against the orders and demonstrated and marched on Sunday against the military overtaking the elected government of Aung San Suu Kyi.
