(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kanpur: Let’s make everyone’s favorite Nan Khatai biscuits at home.
Ingredients :
Ghee – 1/2 Cup, Powdered Sugar -1/2 Cup, Fine Flour – 3/4 cup, Mix Nuts powder – 1/4 Cup, Salt – a bit, Semolina – 1 Tablespoon, Cardamom powder – 1/2 Teaspoon, Baking soda – 1/4 Teaspoon, Milk – 2 Tablespoon.
Method :
- Stir the ghee and sugar with an electric heater machine until the texture becomes creamy and puffy.
- Add flour, nuts powder, salt, baking powder, and cardamom powder and knead it. Note, do not knead too much.
- Roll it with the thick Dough. Cut the desired size of Nankhatai khatai with the knife. Place in a baking tray. Brush the Nan khatai by mixing milk and sugar on top.
- Bake in the oven at 180 degrees celsius for 10 minutes. Remove the tray and store it in an airtight container after it cools.
