(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist)Vijayawada: TDP general secretary and MLC Nara Lokesh on Monday requested that the State government welcome weight on the Center restore the All India Handicrafts Board and All India Handloom Board to help craftsmen and weavers.
Lokesh said the administration takes measures to secure the interests of lakhs of craftsmen and weavers, who are reliant on conventional specialities for their business.
In an open letter to the Textiles Minister, the TDP MLC said the conclusion of Handicrafts Board and Handloom Board, combined with the lockdown due to Covid-19, influenced the occupation of craftsmen and weavers.
