(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); This week a giant asteroid is coming towards the Earth at a high speed. It will be closer to the earth on 24 July. The US space agency NASA warned that this asteroid could be potentially dangerous. It is also large in size and its speed is also fast. This asteroid is at least one and a half times the size of the UK’s famous landmark – the London Eye. It may also be that it turns out to be about 50 percent larger than the London Eye. The London Eye is a 443-meter high wheel, that is, the asteroid is expected to be even bigger.
The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) has warned that the way this huge asteroid is moving towards Earth cannot be taken lightly. It has been identified as a potential threat as it can cause a dangerous effect on the Earth. NASA has named it Asteroidal 2020ND.
