(Pooja Dubey, Intern journalist) The cases of corona infection in the country are steadily increasing. On Thursday, new cases of Corona again set a record. For the first time, 32695 new cases of Coronavirus were reported in a single day. The country has received more than 26,000 cases of infection with the coronavirus for the seventh consecutive day.
According to the data updated on Thursday morning, the number of deaths has increased to 24,915 with the death of 606 people in the last 24 hours. Infection cases in the country increased to 9,68,876 of which 3,31,146 people are undergoing treatment and 6,12,815 people have become infection-free after treatment. Foreigners are also among those infected. In this regard, an official said that about 63.24 percent of patients have been cured so far.
606 people who have died in the last 24 hours, 233 are Maharashtra, 86 in Karnataka, 68 in Tamil Nadu, 44 in Andhra Pradesh, 41 of Delhi, 29 of Uttar Pradesh, 20 of West Bengal, 11 of 11 Jammu and Kashmir and Telangana, 10 of Gujarat and nine people have died in Madhya Pradesh.
Eight people lost their lives in Punjab, seven in Haryana, six each in Assam and Bihar, five in Rajasthan, three each in Odisha and Puducherry, two in Jharkhand while Chandigarh, Kerala, Tripura and Dadar, and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu.
According to data released by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), 1,27,39,490 samples were tested for the corona across the country as of July 15. Of which 3,26,826 samples were tested on Wednesday. More than 3 lakh 26 thousand samples tested in 24 hours.
