(Deepshikha Gautam, Intern Journalist) Kenosha: Police in the city of northeast Kenosha, Wisconsin, shot and injured a black man, possibly in the back. Angry people staged demonstrations and stone pelters in the night and opened fire on some vehicles after a phone call made about a domestic dispute. Police had to fire tear gas to remove the miscreants. The administration announced curfew by 7:00 am.
The shooting incident took place around 5:00 pm on Sunday evening and a video of the incident made on a phone was posted online. This clip was made from the other side of the road and in it, a black man walks in the front of his car while walking on the sidewalk, the driver’s side door opens when the officer behind him shouts a gun at him. As the person learns in and Open’s the driver’s side door, an officer grabs his shirt and starts firing at the car. The government has identified this person as Jackob Blake. The voice of the 7 bullets can be heard. It is not clear how many bullets hit the black person. All three officers have been sent on administrative leave.
