(Rishitha Jaladi, Intern Journalist) Nizamabad: A very offensive incident, a COVID-19 patient who’s dead is taken in an auto to the graveyard. As per the rules and regulations, If a COVID positive patient dies in the hospital, he needs to be taken to the graveyard directly from the hospital via ambulance. It’s mandatory, that the persons in the ambulance must wear PPE kits, while, neither the auto-driver nor the passenger beside was seen wearing the PPE kits.
According to the Nizamabad police, a COVID patient died on Saturday while undergoing treatment, He ran out of oxygen. Meanwhile, the hospital authorities said that three other COVID patients died on the same day, and there were no ambulances to transport all three, Hence the body was shifted in an auto.
