(Riya Singh, Intern Journalist): Modi government has started taking actions against China on the economic level amid the ongoing tension between India and China on the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in eastern Ladakh. After China’s 59 app ban, now Chinese companies will not be able to participate in the country’s road projects. Union Road Transport Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari announced this on Wednesday. If a Chinese company tries to enter highway project through joint venture also, then that too will be stopped. Apart from this, the government would also ensure that Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) are also banned from Chinese investors. According to the media report, Gadkari said that soon Chinese companies will be banned and Indian companies can participate in the highway project more freely.
