Saloni Subha ( Intern Journalist ) The central government has issued guidelines for the third phase of lifting restrictions imposed to stop the spread of Covid-19 infection. In unlocking 3.0 government has allowed gyms and yoga centers can reopen from August 5, However night curfew has been removed which restricted the movement of people outside containment zones.
According to the plan issued by Union ministry, unlock 3 was prepared after receiving feedback from states and in the consultation held with central ministries and departments, to open up more activities outside containment zones.
The new guidelines will come into effect from 1st August says that a strict lockdown would be only in containment zones areas that report a cluster of diseases till August 31 and asked authorities to maintain strict premier control in such zones.
The latest guidelines said that schools, colleges, theatre, swimming pools, metro rails, cinema halls, and bars Wil continue to remain closed. Social, political, religious, sports and entertainment functions and other large congregation will also not be allowed.” Dates for opening these will be decided separately, based on the assessment of the situation”, said the home ministry.
However, school, college, and coaching centers will remain closed until 31st August. The decision was taken after the consultation with states and Union territories, the statement said but online classes shall be encouraged the guidelines further added.
