Aatmja Kumari(Intern Journalist): The round of actions against China by the Trump administration continues. In this order, now Chinese journalists have been allowed to stay in the US for only 90 days. In March, the US State Department told Chinese media outlets to reduce their workforce.
America is extremely angry with China already surrounded by questions about the Coronavirus. This resentment is so strong that the Trump administration has clamped down on Chinese journalists under visa guidelines. Under this, the visa period of Chinese journalists has now been reduced. Now they will be able to stay in the US for only three months. Before that, there was no fixed period in America for the representatives of foreign media. However, new guidelines prohibit Chinese journalists from staying for more than three months.
Four Chinese media outlets — Xinhua News Agency, China Global Television Network, China Radio International, and China Daily — were asked to reduce their 160 workforces to 100. In June, the US accused four top Chinese media outlets of espionage, calling it a foreign mission, and said it was controlled by the Communist Party of China. In February, the US accused five other Chinese media houses of espionage.
