(Anjali Shreya, Intern Journalist): In order to make the workers and youth of the state self-reliant and to motivate them for self-employment, the government has fully mobilized. Labour Resources Minister Jeevesh Kumar, in a departmental meeting on Wednesday, ordered to open contact-cum-counseling centers in all districts. He informed that all information related to employment-self-employment will be available online at modern contact centers.
Its operation will be monitored at the headquarters level by the monitoring cell. The department’s Principal Secretary Mihir Kumar Singh and other officials were present in the meeting. Minister Jeevesh Kumar informed that there will also be a provision of registration of workers and youths willing for employment or self-employment and they will be helped in employment selection on the basis of merit.
For this, trained district employment advisors will be deployed at every contact center who will also train the needy about employment. He informed that contact-cum-counseling centers will be opened in the first phase in 8 districts. For this, Gaya, Darbhanga, Rohtas, Buxar, Nalanda, Munger, Supaul and Pune have been selected. These centers will start functioning in January. The students coming for training at the centers will also be provided with the course material. Employment News, Computer Prosperity News, Pratiyogita Darpan, India Year Book, Manorama Year Book, Pamphlets related to employment and employment profile and other study material will also be available.
