Rishika Iyer (Intern Journalist): OnePlus launches two smart TVs the OnePlus TV U and the OnePlus TV Y. It is said to be very different in comparison to their previous OnePlus TV Q. One of the main differences from the previous versions of their smart TV is the price. Starting at just Rs. 12,999, it is one of the cheapest TVs in the Indian market currently. They are designed to provide quality smart TV experience to the viewers that cater immensely to the Indian community. 

The OnePlus TV U currently has only one model, the OnePlus TV 55U1 and it costs Rs. 49,999. It is a 55-inch LCD, 4K resolution and 95% screen to body ratio with a metal body. It has an exceptional sound system with 4 speaker units and about 30W sound. a carbon fiber pattern is also present in the body of the speaker to enhance the sound. The body is exceptionally sleek with 6.99mm thickness. It supports both Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision.

There are two models of OnePlus TV Y namely 43Y1 and 32Y1 which are in stores right now. They are priced at Rs. 22,999 and Rs. 12,999 respectively. Both the models have a 20W speaker system which supports Dolby Atmos. The 43Y1 model is a 43-inch LCD with FHD resolution while the 32Y1 is a 32-inch LCD with HD-ready resolution. 

All three TVs have various media apps like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hotstar etc. It also has a built in chromecast and supports both Google assistant and Alexa. The TV has new features like data saving mode and a kids restriction mode in order to control the viewing time. 

They are already available on Amazon since July 5th and will soon will be available on all OnePlus retail stores.
