(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); Delhi Police has arrested two such accused who were cheating from the bank by making fake Aadhaar, PAN and Voter cards. Police have arrested two accused named Umesh Chandra and Ravi Sachdeva in this case.
Police investigation revealed that the arrested accused Umesh Chandra previously worked in a company named M / s Karvi. Which UIDAI had given permission to process its data. Umesh was aware of how Aadhaar processes data. And after that, it opened its office in the Mangolpuri area and started working as an agent of companies working for Aadhaar. It was from here that he chose the path of forgery and started creating fake but genuine aadhars for criminals.
Umesh was aware that biometric is needed to make Aadhaar. And only one basis can be made on a biometric. Therefore, he took photographs of the accused with fake names and addresses in different ways. And started building a base for biometric by taking footprints, child prints (because they change after 12 years), and biometric people who roam the streets. So that no one gets caught. Only after Aadhaar card, the accused used to make PAN and voter cards so that there is no doubt of any kind.
The police had received a complaint from Citibank that some thugs had committed fraud by creating credit and debit cards for several banks. After which the police registered a case and arrested 8 people. Police got fake Aadhaar, PAN, voters, credit, and debit cards from these arrested accused in the number of hundreds. Through which they were cheating banks. Police found out in the investigation that all the Aadhaar cards are genuine, but have been made in a fake way. After this, the police proceeded with the investigation and arrested two more accused
