(Manisha Mahar, Intern Journalist); The Indian Navy has deployed its Mig29K and P8I aircraft on LAC along the Eastern Ladakh border. In addition, the top commander of the Indian Air Force will undertake a comprehensive review of the country’s air defense system in a three-day conference starting on Wednesday. It will also discuss the possible deployment of the first fleet of Rafale fighter jets in the Ladakh region in view of the border dispute with China. Military sources gave this information. Sources said the commanders are also expected to discuss specifically to deploy the first fleet of around six Rafale aircraft in the Ladakh sector by early next month. These aircraft are scheduled to be inducted into the Indian Air Force fighter fleet by the end of July.
“The commanders will review the emerging security situation in the region and discuss ways to enhance the combat capability of the Air Force,” a source said. The conference will be chaired by Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh is also expected to address the Air Force commanders. The Air Force has been doing night air combat patrols in the eastern Ladakh region for the past few weeks. Its purpose is probably to give a message to China that it is well prepared to deal with any sudden situation in this mountainous region.
