Despite all the measures in Pakistan, cases of coronavirus are increasing rapidly. The number of infected people in the country has crossed 52 thousand. Meanwhile, in Karachi’s Central Jail, about 300 prisoners have fallen prey to Corona despite all the measures being adopted. Apart from this, 20 staff of the jail have also been infected.
Corona epidemic will increase rapidly in the country
A senior Pakistani official has warned that the Corona epidemic in the country will grow at a rapid pace if people do not follow preventive measures. So far 1,101 people have died due to the deadly epidemic in the country. Zafar Mirza, the special assistant to Prime Minister Imran Khan on health matters, said on Friday that reports of corona infection cases in the country last week were not good. If people do not take precautions then the rate of infection will increase manifold.
1,743 new virus cases
The Ministry of Health said on Saturday that 1,743 new cases of the virus were detected during the last 24 hours. The number of infected people has increased to 52,437. Out of this, 16,653 corona victims have recovered.
Sharif’s brother’s test negative
The corona test of former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif’s brother and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz president Shahbaz Sharif has come. PML-N leader Rana Masood said that Shahbaz and some other leaders were tested when a party member was found infected.
