(Riya Saha, Intern Journalist) Sheikh Rasheed, Pakistan’s controversial federal minister has once again threatened India with a nuclear war. The federal railway’s minister in the Imran Khan government is considered to be the voice of Pakistan’s notorious counterintelligence agency – the ISI — in the government.

In an interview to a television channel, Sheikh Rasheed admitted that the Indian Army is far superior to the Pakistan Army in conventional warfare. Therefore, Pakistan is working on miniaturised nuclear weapons.

He boasted about Pakistan having very small, very accurate and perfect atom bombs to target India all the way up to Assam, but “in a way that Muslims would be spared”.

This is not the first time that Sheikh Rasheed has browbeaten India with tactical nuclear weapons. In September 2019, he touted about Pakistan having nuclear weapons as small as 125-250 grams that will destroy only a targeted area.

Sheikh Rasheed’s statement had come after Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan had threatened India with a military confrontation over Kashmir in 2019.
