Islamabad Pakistan has been irritated by the inclusion of Muzaffarabad and Gilgit, Baltistan of Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) for the first time in India’s Weather Bulletin. It has called it a violation of the UN Security Council (UNSC) resolutions.
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry said on Friday, “Like the so-called political map issued by India last year, the move is completely illegal. It is beyond reality. Also the UNSC proposals are violated. Pakistan rejects this move. Pakistan now called it irresponsible behavior of India.

This is also the identity of Kashmir in front of the global community and the United Nations. Pakistan appeals to India to avoid baseless claims and not mislead the world.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) included Pak Occupied Kashmir (PoK) and areas of Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad for the first time in its weather bulletin from Thursday. IMD’s move is important in view of India’s stand that PoK is a part of India. This step has been taken when the Supreme Court of Pakistan has announced elections in Gilgit and Baltistan this week. The Government of India has strongly opposed this decision.
POK cities fall under the Northwest Division
According to IMD, these cities of PoK fall under the Northwest Division of IMD. The North-West Division of IMD has 9 subdivisions. These include Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Delhi-Chandigarh-Haryana, Punjab, Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Western Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan and Western Rajasthan.
Pakistan-India evacuate Gilgit-Baltistan
India strongly opposed the order to hold elections in Pakistan-occupied Gilgit-Baltistan. The Indian Foreign Ministry had said that apart from the whole of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan is also an integral part of India. So, Pakistan should immediately evacuate it. Its capture here is illegal.
