New Delhi: People’s concern has increased due to reports of patients recovering amid growing infection of Coronavirus. Initially, there were cases in many countries where the corona report of the patient came back positive even after treatment. There has been much research on this, the researchers claim that the patient report came positive after weeks of recovery. There is no danger.
Research by scientists from South Korea’s Centre for Disease Control and Prevention has revealed that reports of corona patients recovering after treatment are positive.
The reason for this can be the dead particles of coronavirus present in their body. But there will be no risk of infection from this.
A sample of 285 patients was sampled in this study conducted by the Centre for Disease Control and Prevention. PCR testing of these samples was done. Then it was cultivated in the lab, but it did not show any development in culture.
Which proved that it cannot spread infective.
South Korea has released new guidelines regarding the test of cured patients. In which people recovering from Corona will not be required to show a negative test report before joining school or office.
Recently in India also the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has made some changes in the guidelines for the discharge of corona patients from the hospital in this direction.
Why does it come test positive even after treatment?
According to Dr. RR Gangakhedkar, head of ICMR’s Communicable Disease, if anyone came negative for 2 RTPCR tests for 24 hours to discharge someone first, they were being discharged.
But many times the RTPCR test does not come negative even after the patient is cured and the patient used to stay in the hospital. What is the new discharge policy for Corona patients?
Under the new discharge policy given by the Ministry of Health, the patient can be discharged after 10 days if there are mild symptoms. Apart from this, the patient can be discharged from the hospital even if there is no fever for 3 days. For this, it will not be necessary to test before discharging. After discharge, the patient is advised to remain in self-isolation for 7 days.
Dr. Randeep Guleria, director of AIIMS, said that earlier we used to admit patients for three to four weeks because their test was coming positive again and again, but they did not have any problem. But now it is coming to light that in many people this deadly virus can remain for several weeks. But it does not risk infection
